Missed calls report
The missed calls report shows every caller who couldn't get through, whether they were called back and how fast, and who is still waiting, with the number to dial.
-
Your store's connection rate
Dealerships connect with roughly 65% of inbound callers on average; the top stores reach 80 to 85%. The phone is the biggest fixable leak in most stores.
-
Built into your phone system
Vantact AI call analytics is built into the phone system your dealership already runs on. There's no separate call tracking platform, login or bill.
-
Enabled per extension
It's enabled per extension. Turn it on for the BDC, the service advisors and the sales managers, not the whole store.
-

Alerts, coaching and the daily brief
Managers get a daily brief by email, customer loss prevention alerts on negative calls, coaching notes on any call, and a searchable archive of every conversation.
How many dealership calls actually get handled well?
Average connection rate
One caller in three never reaches a qualified person.
Sales leads mishandled
Missed, unlogged or followed up late (Foureyes, 2025).
Service loyalty, newer vehicles
Down from 72% two years earlier (Cox Automotive, 2025).
The industry numbers are consistent and not flattering. The average dealership connects with about 65% of inbound callers, so one caller in three never reaches a qualified person, while top performing stores connect with 80 to 85%. Foureyes' 2025 dealer benchmark found 43.2% of sales leads were mishandled, whether missed, unlogged or followed up late. On the service side, Cox Automotive's 2025 study found service loyalty for vehicles two years old or newer fell to 54%, down from 72% two years earlier, and customers who service at the dealership are 74% likely to buy their next vehicle from that store, against 44% for customers who didn't return for service.
Most stores don't know their own numbers because the phone system reports activity, not outcomes. Call volume by extension tells you nothing about which service caller was told "we'll call you back" and never was.

What it does in a dealership
Missed calls
Who couldn't get through, and whether anyone got back to them. Callers still waiting are listed most urgent first with the number to call; the list clears itself when you connect.
Sample daily brief. Names and figures are illustrative.
Where it pays off by department
Service
Shows callers who hung up in the service queue, who was promised a callback, and who is still waiting. Service advisors get it; the parts counter doesn't have to.
Sales and BDC
Tags price inquiries, competitor mentions and appointment requests. Managers see which BDC calls sounded ready to book and which lost the customer at the second question.
Parts
Catches "do you have it in stock" calls that ended without an order and callers who were told to try another store.
F&I and multi rooftop
Sentiment and volume by rooftop in one view for dealer groups, with per store extensions kept separate.
How this compares to a standalone call tracking platform
Most dealerships that have call analytics today buy it as a separate platform layered on top of the phone system. Here's how the built in approach differs.

Who it's for
The brief for the dealer principal. The dashboard for the managers. One system.
Built for
- Dealer principals and GMs who want to know what happened on the phones yesterday without listening to recordings.
- Service managers losing appointments to hold times and unreturned calls.
- BDC and sales managers who coach from real calls.
- Dealer groups that want one view across rooftops.
Not built for
- Stores that only want a call tracking number for ad attribution (we do that too, but it's a different product).
- Contact centres that need real-time agent whisper during live calls.
- Stores that don't record calls. The analytics work from recordings, so recording has to be on for the extensions you enable.
Not sure? Twenty minutes with your own service queue numbers settles it.
